Mixing by hand: Place water and dry mix in a mixing bowl and mix together by hand to form a dough. Turn dough out onto a table and ball up and knead a couple of times until the dough tightens slightly. Divide dough into 4 pieces at 700g each. Shape each piece into rounds, using dusting flour as required. Place on silicone mat on baking tray and press down to about 3-4 cm. Dust with flour (optional) and cut a cross in the round down to the tray. Bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes. Recipe makes 4 x 700g Buttermilk Soda Breads.
